Description

This beautiful instrumental theme carries the flavor of the film's Montana scenery.  A popular selection for weddings.

Structure:  This pieces contains the following musical themes, which flow from one to the other when performed.

• Opens with the "Twilight and Mist" tune (played by solo piano on the soundtrack)
• Followed by "The Ludlows" tune (string orchestra entrance on soundtrack)
• Followed by "Legends of the Fall" tune (full orchestra portion on soundtrack)
• Ends with "Twilight and Mist" tune (played by solo violin and piano on soundtrack)

Arranger notes: This version is shorter than the original 5 minute soundtrack recording.  A portion performed by the full orchestra (approx. 2/3 of the way through) was omitted since I felt that a solo instrument or small chamber group could not sufficiently duplicate the orchestral performance.  However, my arrangement does include all 3 musical themes.  Also, some of the whole note chords held by the orchestra have been arpeggiated to add more interest, because the fullness of the orchestra cannot be duplicated by a solo instrument or group.
